The Funguyz are an interdisciplinary artist collective made up of three radical mycologists: LiLi Jackson, Billie Pate, and Franklin Romero Jr. We believe mushrooms will save the world. Our mission is to teach communities how to remediate pollution and toxicity in their neighborhoods with mycoremediation – bioremediation using fungi. We do this by creating public art sculptures out of mycelium at toxic sites that eventually biodegrade and begin the mycoremediation process.
